Carrots are root vegetables with good vitamin content, especially vitamin A. Carrots are usually boiled but can also be eaten raw grated in salads and raw carrots are sweet.

Carrots are also baked in carrot cake which is healthier than many self indulgent cakes. Still the healthiest way to eat carrots is without added sugar directly after they've been boiled, stewed, cut up in a salad, while they still have their vitamin.
